What started as a way to curate eclectic finds to spice up our boring 1980s farmhouse quickly became a side gig in antique malls & online & then to full brick & mortar store in 2022. From branding & marketing to product research & sourcing to styling & merchandising it has truly been a labor of love & an amazing experience to be a small business owner.

Shop is located in a busy & fun Downtown West Bend where I'm heavily involved in events, marketing/creative & driving business with Downtown West Bend Association, West Bend Specialty Shops & City of West Bend.

Meet Freya
We needed a mascot & a fun piece of branding outside of our logo. Personally & certainly throughout midcentury decor there is a fascination with big cats - panthers, cheetahs, tigers. There's always a sleek ceramic black panther or two for sale in the shop & a way-finding lion statue in our front window. This illustration was a natural fit for me. She's now a big part of the marketing, brand merchandise & event creative for the shop.

Why Freya? In Norsk mythology, Freya was goddess of love, beauty, luck & chance (among many other things) and was able to tell the future & shape one's destiny. Her chariot was led by two big cats. The nature of the cat itself: it was considered as unpredictable as life itself. Small business? Hunting vintage? Unpredictable.
She needed a name & my lineage & love for all things Scandinavian led me to Freya.
